February is World Understanding Month. The fourth object of Rotary is the advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.
Many clubs and their members are already participating in activities that promote world understanding through service in support of a variety of international projects. But you don’t have to go to Africa and build a well to inspire world understanding. I just got back from spending four days in Telluride with the International Skiing Fellowship of Rotarians, a group of Rotarians from as close as Telluride and as far away as England and Austria. It was a great time to come together as Rotarians. Look for a Rotary Fellowship that inspires you so you can share a passion with Rotarians around the globe.
This is the month to expand YOUR club’s “World Understanding” and to embrace the broader mission of Rotary.
Yours in Service,
DG Chris.
