Rotary Leadership Institute
By Linda Avery
The Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) is a Rotary program of training designed to strengthen Rotary clubs through quality leadership education.  This is intended for all Rotary members interested in potential leadership positions in Rotary.  District 5470 has elected to offer this training at no cost to membership, in the interest of developing as many future leaders in our clubs as possible.
Training is in 3 parts, and upon graduation, you will also be certified to become a RLI facilitator and assist in future trainings.  Training in each section is a stand-alone, so you do not need to take them in sequence.  The District has been divided into quadrants, so it will be easier to have membership attend trainings local to them.  It is the intention of the District Training to have each quadrant offer at least one training in Part I, Part II and Part III each year – and locations will be determined upon request.
Part I Topics: My Rotary World, Ethics and Vocational Service, Foundation I, Engaging Members, Creating Service Projects
Part II Topics: Rotary Opportunities, Effective Leadership Strategies, Attracting Members, Club Communication, Team Building, Foundation II: Targeted Service
Part III Topics: Strategic Planning, Foundation III: International Service, Public Image & Public Relations, Building A Stronger Club, Making a Difference
Upcoming RLI trainings are:
Montrose on Saturday, November 9th – Part I. 9-4 @ The Holiday Inn Express
Beverages, Lunch and snacks provided – some local Rotary host options may be available.
